When to come
The Gulf coast's rainy months usually come from around October to December, when the northeast monsoon arrives. The rest of the year is generally drier, which makes Samui a useful alternative when the Andaman coast is in its monsoon.
Getting around on a hosted trip
Samui has its own airport with limited routes; others arrive by ferry from the mainland. Flights and ferries to the island are your cost. On the island, transfers to the hotel and agreed activities are in a private vehicle.
