How it works

How a hosted Thailand trip works, from application to publishing

There are four steps. You apply at least three weeks before travel. We review and answer within five business days. You sign the agreement inside the creator portal. Then you post a pre-trip announcement, travel to Thailand, and publish the agreed coverage within 30 days of your last travel day, submitting proof in the portal.

    Inclusions, dates, deliverables and disclosure wording, agreed and signed before anything is booked.

  4. Within 30 days

    Step 4: Travel & publish

    Announce the trip before you go, then publish within 30 days of your last travel day, tagging @expleradmc.

1. Apply

The application asks for your primary channel, your blog or website, your audience markets, the dates you have in mind and what you want to film in Thailand. Apply at least three weeks before you plan to travel. The form will warn you if your dates are closer than that, but it will not stop you.

2. Review, answered in five business days

A reviewer verifies your reach, engagement, audience geography, niche fit, content quality and website, and suggests a tier. You get a decision within five business days, counted on the Thai business calendar, so Thai public holidays do not count.

If we ask you for more information, the five-day clock pauses until you reply. It restarts from where it stopped, not from zero.

3. Agreement signed in the app

Once approved, the agreement is generated and signed inside the creator portal. It lists your tier, the dates, the deliverables, the disclosure wording for your audience and the deadline. Scheduling needs at least one week after the agreement is signed, because hotels, vehicles and boat seats in Thailand are confirmed against your final dates.

4. Travel, then publish within 30 days

Before travelling you post a short announcement on your social channel and your blog, tagging @expleradmc, and you upload proof of travel insurance. Both are checked before the trip starts. After the trip you publish the agreed coverage within 30 days of your last travel day and submit each piece in the portal with its URL and screenshots.

Typical timeline

  1. Three weeks or more before travel: application submitted.
  2. Within five business days: decision. The clock pauses while we wait for anything we have asked you for.
  3. After approval: agreement issued and signed in the portal; itinerary drafted.
  4. At least one week after signing: earliest realistic start date.
  5. Before the first travel day: announcement posts and travel insurance proof submitted and verified.
  6. On the ground: hotel, transfers and activities as agreed, with a local contact for the trip.
  7. Within 30 days of the last travel day: post-trip coverage published and proof submitted.

What if my plans change?

Tell us in the portal as early as you can. Boat trips in Thailand can be cancelled by operators or authorities in bad weather, especially on the Andaman coast between May and October. When that happens we try to move the activity to another day or offer an alternative; we cannot guarantee a like-for-like swap.
